Stage 2
We received "good idea/bad idea", an old cartoon to work with. We removed the song that was attached and the cartoons that were the good ideas and the bad ideas. Our concept was to replace these cartoons with our own good and bad ideas. My first juxtaposition used videos from YouTube user FYADprincess where he "does ownage to a baby". This user playfully "trolls" YouTube viewers by showing classic gross out picture "Goatsee" to a small child on a cell phone, he also "does ownage" by putting a lemon in a baby's mouth and filming its reaction. This ironic use of the YouTube dialogue parodying Fail videos and Ownage videos causes many viewers to leave angry comments about the destructive nature of these actions. This is the goal of the troll.
My second juxtaposition deals with the classic YouTube video "goat yelling like a man" this is paired up with the song papers by Usher where he yells like a goat, yelling like a man. This similarity of this audio provides a humorous contrast between funny and serious works presented in the online context.
