'FBF' is a collection of images pulled from our friends and friends of our friends on Facebook. This collection of portraits acts as a self portrait, a reflection of who we choose to relate to in the online and IRL world. This work specifically references a recent trend involving nostalgia, fine art and contemporary juxtaposition. Collage is hip, its in and it might be here for a few more months. Grab an old issue of life magazine, cut the face out, put some diamonds behind it and you have an art. When done well, beautiful new images are made, when done poorly, well... 'FBF' plays with this recently revived trend but instead of referencing things of the past, we reference our hyper-contemporary surroundings. The music acts as the only tie of nostalgia, allowing us to remember the "GoOd TyMeZ~*~" from last night as a little tear wells up in our eye.
